|I was born and raised in the UK and took my bachelors degree in Education and Fine Arts. Then I was blessed to live and work abroad as a teacher in international schools in Bahrain, Shanghai, Taiwan, Hong Kong twice, Vietnam and Turkey. Living internationally was an education in itself and so enriching. I have a postgraduate diploma in TESOL (Teaching English to speakers of other languages) in which I specialized in immersion education.
After having two wonderful children and really feeling the need to "settle down" my family came to Seacoast NH and I was able to take the training required to pass national and state tests to become a massage therapist. Travelling around the world had allowed me to sample many good and not so good massages and I wanted to translate my experience to help others achieve their massage goals.
Teaching seems to be a common theme to my life because not only do I have my own massage therapy practice but I have also been an instructor of massage. I have taught classes in Deep Tissue and Neuromuscular Massage, Kinesiology, Nutrition, Hydrotherapy as well as Business and Marketing for massage therapists.
I feel lucky to be doing something I really enjoy and to be keeping the standards of massage high. To that end I am constantly learning new aspects of massage. Some of the courses I have taken are;
